In Brazil, violence against women rose by 22%, with one in three cases happening at home. Many victims feel trapped and unable to report their abusers. Despite the increase in cases, there hasn’t been a significant rise in specialized police stations. To break this cycle, women need safe spaces to seek help. TIM turned all its stores into unexpected reporting centers. Store phones now provide direct access to police reporting systems, and over 2,000 employees were trained to assist victims. By joining forces with existing authorities, TIM doubled the chances of helping women escape abuse—where others saw phones, TIM saw a lifeline.
